Silver medal - Adelaide Hills Wine Show 2009
Tony Love The Advertiser, "Top of the poppers", December 9, 2009
89 points. "Pinot and
chardonnay in full
bottle ferment mode,
with lemon sherbet
personality, quite tart
green apple fruit
flavours and crunch, with just a hint
of toast and yeast in the background
yet predominantly a cleansing
aperitif style."

Pinot Noir/Chardonnay - Brut – 2008 (17.5). "More interesting and complex than most here, with fine apple fruit and subtle brioche and yeast. The palate is fine, delicate, elegant and refreshing. Good fruit and excellent balance..........."
Tasting note
Our inaugural Méthode Champenoise is a blend of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay grapes selected from the cool south-facing slopes high in the Adelaide Hills. Each bottle is hand-crafted, with tirage, riddling and disgorging being carried out on side in our Longwood winery. Ageing for a minimum of 12 months on lees adds hints of toasted nuts to the sweet strawberry and crisp green apple fruit aromas.
