Tasting note
2009 was an intense yet elegant year for Sauvignon Blanc from our cool vineyard site. This wine shows generous pear and stone fruit aromas melding with hints of tropical fruit. Tight tangy acidity gives length of flavour and a crisp dry finish.
Winemaking:
Enormous care and effort is taken as the fruit approaches ripeness. 2009 was no exception. Picking 3 parcels over a 10 day period enabled us to manage different ferment batches with slightly different character. The final wine was then carefully blended for release in spring.
Technical Information:
Fermentation: 100% stainless steel. Small batches.
Alcohol: 13.5 %
