Loftia wins Best Australian Sparkling Trophy again

We are very excited to announce our 2012 Loftia Vintage Brut has won the Trophy for Best Australian Sparkling - Aperif Style at the 2015 Sydney International Wine Competition (SIWC). The 2009 Loftia was awarded the same trophy in 2012.

It is a great win for Deviation Road. We'd also like to congratulate fellow Hills winemaker Scott Wines who also won top gong - the trophy for Best Rose for their delicious La Prova 2014 Aglianco Rosato!

Congratulations to all the other winners.

This competition is a hard gig to win as the wines are judged with food, and it reflects our commitment to producing food friendly wines.

“It’s a reflection of our goal to make consumer and food friendly wines. The Sydney show actually judges the wines with a specific dish, so to win in this way reinforces our belief that the acid structure and complexity of our sparkling wines are just right,” said Hamish Laurie.
