At Deviation Road we maintain a simple approach to wine making; grow fruit of the highest quality and the wine will take care of itself.

Staying small enables us to remain focused on making wines that typify the varieties that we produce. We commit to small volume ferments, which allows us to separate different parcels from the vineyard and treat them individually so as to bring out their maximum flavour and structure potential. This is enhanced by doing partial barrel ferment as well as a mix of indigenous and new yeast strains. At the end of vintage we find ourselves with an amazing array of wines to blend together to bring their individual components into a harmoniously balanced and complete wine.

Our family vineyard is situated on Deviation Road , the name sake of our winery, high up in the Lenswood district of the Adelaide Hills.
