Vintage 2008 Silver medal- Adelaide Hills Wine Show 2009
"Top of the poppers", Tony Love, The Advertiser, December 9, 2009
scored 89 points "Pinot and
chardonnay in full
bottle ferment mode,
with lemon sherbet
personality, quite tart
green apple fruit
flavours and crunch, with just a hint
of toast and yeast in the background
yet predominantly a cleansing
aperitif style."
scored 17.5 by Barry Weinman. "More interesting and complex than most here, with fine apple fruit and subtle brioche and yeast. The palate is fine, delicate, elegant and refreshing. Good fruit and excellent balance....."finewineclub.com.au/Tastings/Sparkling/2009nov15newrelease.html
Pinot Gris
Vintage 2009 Silver medal - Adelaide Hills Wine Show 2009
"Top Aussie White", Huon Hooke, The Sydney Morning Herald, April 6, 2010
scored 90/100 "They've tried to do something different and it works: exotic, honeyed aromas which suggest they fermented high-solids juice; tight and delicate in the mouth with piercing vitality and focus. Not sweet. A cut above the competition..Food Pan-fried fish.
scored 17.5+ by Barry Weinman. "Clean and fresh smelling. There is sherbet, musk, pineapple and a touch of cinnamon. Evolves on the palate and has excellent mouth feel and texture. Persistent and balanced. Good acidity to close. (I had a glass with salmon the next night and it was excellent.) finewineclub.com.au/Tastings/Semillon%20Sauvignon/2010jan21newreleasewhite.html
Vintage 2008 Wine of the week, Ralph Kyte Powell, The Age, February 10 2009. 4 stars.
"..this version from the Adelaide Hills is a whole lot better than most. It combines ripe fruit with a whisper of old barrel influence into a harmonious drop of excellent balance and sustained flavour. Suggestions of pear, almond and a whiff of patisserie-like spice give the nose interest, and it tastes smooth and rich with good mouthfeel and a touch of underlying firmness."

Vintage 2007: 92 / 100 by Huon Hooke, The Sydney Morning Herald, February 3, 2009
" This is a typical refined Hills chardonnay, scented with nectarine, nutty nougat and peach. It's fresh and compact, trim and taut, with sweetness.
Sauvignon Blanc
Vintage 2009 - Tony Love, The Advertiser 7th October 2009
92 points"Offering more pear and tropical aromas
this year than its regional colleagues,
the herbal elements come later with almost minty hints, fresh and quite
lime-like in the finish, cool Lenswood
fruit looking good. Definite fish and
chips potential here."
Vintage 2008 - Wine of the week, Winsor Dobbin, January 24 2009
" A terrific savvy blanc from an Adelaide Hills winery that has impressed me over the past 12 months. A wine with many layers of flavour - in contrast to its Kiwi cousins - and nice balance between herbaceous and tropical fruit characters"

"Expect to hear a lot about this label in the years ahead. Crafted by Hamish and Kate Laurie it's a cracking good Adelaide Hills shiraz, sweet and supple with plum and black berry fruit on the nose and palate, a core of spice, clever oaking and smooth tannins." Illawarra Mercury, 3rd March 2009

"With plum and red cherry coming through with fine tannins at the finish, the Deviation Road pinot noir is up there with the Hillstowe's of yesteryear".

"Quite a creamy beginning suggests some elite oak treatment, Lenswood fruit in good oak showing pineapple and jackfruit in the bowl, some honey and nuts through the palate with a good line of structure in the finish."
