NV Altair Sparkling Rose
We select the fruit from the cool south-facing slopes high in the Adelaide Hills. Sweet strawberry, cherry and spice aromas follow through to the palate, where the lively bubbles add lift and balance to these fruit flavours. This wine has wonderful length and supple mouth feel.

Tyson Stelzer, Adelaide Hills Magazine Autumn 2014 ‘Deviation Road is a fast ascending little estate, privileged first in its 30-year-old Lenswood vineyard and second in the delicate touch of Kate Laurie, who learnt her craft in Champagne. Her sparklings are among the most restrained and textured in the Hills and her Rosé is graceful, alluring and intricately crafted. An estate to watch.’
Nick Ryan, Gourmet Traveller Wine Dec/Jan 2014 ‘The NV Deviation Road Altair Brut Rose is well worth seeking out. It has a lovely rhubarb character and bristles with notes of apple skin, wild strawberries and baking spices. It’s finely balanced lithe and long. This is a truly exciting new direction for Australian sparkling wine.’
Tony Love, SA Weekend Magazine Nov 2012 'Delicately heady Champagne-like complexities with an almost spiced almond and hazelnut edge propel this sparkler to more noteworthy level.’
Tyson Stelzer, WBM Dec/Jan 2014 'An intricately crafted and refreshingly young sparkling rosé of lively elegance. Lovely fruit concentration of strawberries, red cherries, pink pepper and red apples is honed by excellent acid line and lemon juice freshness.’
