Colour and Nose: Deep dark crimson with lifted aromas of toasty cassis, plum and leather.
Palate: A medium to full bodied Cabernet with layers of savoury cassis and plum. Barrel aging in old and new French oak has provided soft tannins giving the wine excellent length of fruit flavour. Earthy, cigar box notes add further complexity to this wine, which will benefit from decanting an hour or so before drinking.
Cellar for up to 4 years or enjoy now.
Vineyards: Picked from our cool climate family vineyard in Manjimup, Western Australia. Ideally suited to Cabernet and Shiraz. The soils are well drained loamy gravel. A small component of Wrattonbully Cabernet Sauvignon was blended to provide further complexity to this wine.
Food Suggestions: Enjoy this wine with your favourite steak or even chocolate pudding. |
