Nose & Colour: Sweet plum, ripe casss and cherry aromas, with subtle hints of vanilla from French oak barriques.

Palate: Smooth, full bodied ripe Merlot, rounded out with some soft yet dry tannins and wonderfully balanced acidity. Very ripe fruit in 2003 ensured sweet flavours on the palate, yet the structure and balance to this wine maintained the elegance of style great merlot wines can show.

Ageing: This wine was aged for 24 months in French oak prior to bottling. It is ready to drink now to enjoy the fresh ripe fruit flavours, or can be cellared for 5 - 8 year to futher develp its character.
Food Match: The elegant style of this Merlot makes it a great wine with delicate flavours such as chicken or baked fish, as well as the perfect accompaniement to a beef fillet or even strong cheeses.
Vineyards: Picked from our cool climate vineyard in Lenswood district of the Adelaide Hills.
