Nose & Colour: Sweet pear and mango meld with hints of spice. Floral notes of rose give extra lift.
Palate: The 2006 Pinot Gris was picked in two passes, at differing ripeness. This captured the full flavours of pear and mandarin, whilst maintaining crisp acidity and structure. A small proportion was fermented in French oak adding richness and rounding out the crisp citrus finish. The spice carries to the palate giving lift and texture to the wine.
Vineyards: Picked from our cool climate, family vineyard in Lenswood district of the Adelaide Hills. The soils are draining broken pod soils over schist. |
