Colour and Nose: Dark crimson with lifted aromas of blackberry, mulberry and a hint of leather.
Palate: A full bodied Shiraz with rich layers of white pepper, black berry and savory cassis. Barrel aging in old and new French oak have provided soft tannin giving the wine excellent length of fruit flavour. Raspberry, cigar box notes add further complexity to this wine, which will benefit from decanting an hour before drinking. Cellar for up to 5 years or enjoy now.
Vineyards: Picked from our cool climate family vineyard in Manjimup, Western Australia. Ideally suited to red varieties such as Shiraz and Cabernet. The soils are well drained loamy gravel. A small component of low yielding Riverland fruit was blended to provide further complexity to this wine.
Food Suggestions: Enjoy this wine with barbequed beef fillet or your favourite steak. |
