Field Blend

This blend showcases the three white varietals we work with;
Sauvignon Blanc for punchy aromatics, Pinot Gris for texture, and Chardonnay giving citrus lift and depth on the palate.

If 2020 taught us anything, it was to be nimble!

The fires in December 2019 resulted in a loss of both Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris grapes, leaving us with a shortfall of wine to get through the year. This gave our winemaking team an opportunity to flex their creative muscles coming up with a limited release aromatic white to fill the void.

Our Sauvignon Blanc parcels were pressed into tank and fermented cool to preserve aromatics and freshness, whilst the Pinot Gris and Chardonnay were fermented and aged in French Oak barrique for texture. 

Low yields due to cool weather at flowering. Mild conditions in January through to April augured well for steady ripening and excellent flavour development across all varieties.
